Food choices

A healthy diet is the easiest way to keep your weight in check. Pour the grease first make a note of the foods to eat and avoid.

Eat this:Fresh fruits and vegetables are the first on the list. Fruits and vegetables provide vitamins without the addition of unhealthy fats. Fruits and fruit juices should be consumed fresh. Vegetables should be included in a generous amount too.

Green leafy and root vegetables provide dietary fiber. Ask salads to serve without dressing and season. Oatmeal is another food that you should eat for its rich fibre content. Burn helps faster muscle mass by stimulating your metabolism fat.

Protein helps build muscle mass. Lean cuts of meat of skinless chicken breast, breast of Turkey and Beef Loin, fish, low-fat dairy products, nuts and sprouts should be consumed in moderation. Eat food grilled, boiled, steamed and sautéed.

Don't eat this:Refined sugar-containing foods should be cut or consumed with moderation. Then, cookies, candies, cakes, soft drinks, blended coffee, canned fruit, mix cake, jelly, ice cream, cereal bars, sports drinks and processed fruit juice should be reserved for occasional treats.

Over the years I tried many different ways of eating there was a time I was on a mission to put on weight and had a tough time gaining weight it cost more money to gain weight than it did to lose weight.

I came to the conclusion that extra bodyweight was really affecting my life in a bad way and I decided it was time to lose some weight and managed to lose 85 lbs in 5 months just by changing the way I ate.

I no longer stuffed myself, I ate almost a strictly vegetarian diet and I still do, I also find my body recovers real fast after a workout if I limit the junk.

But what is the right way? I think about growing up and the way I lived in 70's and 80's I found that there were a few fat people, nowhere near as many as now.

When mom or dad was in control of my eating I was eating usually 3 times a day. Morning usually was sugary cereal sometimes puffed wheat, shredded wheat, grape nuts but also sugar smacks, frosted flakes etc, on occasion eggs and bacon with the eggs cooked in bacon grease.

Lunch if not in school was probably peanut butter and jelly sandwich, dinner usually there was a meat, starch and vegetable, sometimes pasta. But dinner wasn't like a buffet and we didn't eat around the clock.

Sometimes we had seconds, but not much snacking between meals.

As far as fast food goes I probably was at McDonald's as a kid I would say less than 10 times and tv dinners were in metal tray's and were a treat.

On Saturday's when I was young I remember watching wrestling with my dad and eating bologna and cheese sandwiches.

I do not remember soda being in our house, we drank water and milk soda will destroy the body water builds the body. But the big thing is, there weren't many things that distracted us from being physically active.

We had no computer, cell phones, no video games well at least that were worth playing so the combination of being bored and eating at every chance and no physical activity is the biggest cause of obesity.

But as I got older and moved to a different area with access to convent store's and when I got a little money I would drink soda, eat fast food, lunch meat sandwiches but was still active and gained no weight.

It wasn't until I decided to gain weight and work really hard at it did I actually put on a ton of unusable weight. So eating in excess instead of moderation of the wrong foods processed packaged foods and lack of movement has become the problem.

No one ever got fat eating potatoes, they have few calories per potato and they are very filling no one ever got fat eating bananas either but the experts tell you to lose weight don't eat these type of starches.

If you look at the difference between the money spent today on eating out or ordering in compared 20 - 30 years ago the number is staggering. I never ever remember having food delivered to my house when I was younger.

So when I fat person tells me that they are fat because of medical problems they are more than likely just lying to themselves to make themselves feel better, because eating natural foods does not encourage weight gain.

No matter what some expert wants to tell you about how times are different and it's not all your fault, he or she is right times are different but the body still responds the way it always did. We have become conditioned to eat at all times we have also let the clock decide when we eat.

We eat too much food and don't drink close to enough water. We can go long periods without food and most feel they can't go two hours without food.

Over the years I have found the less I eat the better I feel, sometimes eating one time a day and sometimes eating several times a day depending on my activity level.

Activity level should be how you gauge your food intake, if you don't move much through your day you don't need much food if you are very active you will need more food, it's just common sense.

As far as scientific research goes do we really need to spend money finding out why people are fat? All we need to do is look no farther than the mirror.
Eating a balanced diet is not a very complex undertaking. Some people assume that you need to be a dietician or a nutrition specialist to come up with a healthy diet plan. But most often, all it takes is some simple forethought to the kind of foods you choose to eat. Here are 3 simple tips to help clean up your diet.

1. First of all, stop eating anything that was not produced by God. In other words, stop eating processed food as much as possible. Eat more of fruits, vegetables, eggs, lean meat, and salads to keep you diet light and healthy. Avoid sodas, sugary cereals and all kinds of processed foods. Now you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out, but sadly most people don't.

Of course, this could be a little difficult to get accustomed to in the beginning. But with a little practice, it will become second nature to you. You will no longer have to make a conscious effort to choose the right food stuffs to eat. After a while, you will automatically start eating healthy.

2. Avoid carbohydrates that have a high glycemic index. Take a look at a Glycemic Index chart and familiarize yourself with the foods that are low on the Index scale.

Completely avoid foods that have an unacceptable value on the scale. Fruits, vegetables and most other unprocessed foods are always good to eat. Low carbs diets are highly recommended and you can keep track of your carbs by referring to a chart.

3. Never make drastic changes to your diet. Your body would most often find it difficult to cope with major shifts in your diet. Try to make more gradual changes a little at a time. Don't make the mistake of trying to lose weight in a hurry. You didn't gain weight overnight.

You cannot lose it as fast either. You would have to lose it slowly and at a more natural pace. By gradually shifting to a more healthy diet, your body would be able to adjust to the changes and adapt itself to a healthier lifestyle. Moreover, you would also be able to sustain a changed lifestyle when you make the changes more gradually.

When you make these three simple changes to your diet, you will be able to shed those extra pounds and keep them off for good. You will also be able to live a healthier and more fulfilling life in the long run.

Successfully achieve your weight loss goals can depend on many things - here are 3 simple steps to help tip the balance in their favor.

Step #1: small originate...

When you all say goodbye to lose weight, easy it´s trapped in the rush of the moment. In that initial burst of motivation can set big goals and focus on the scene. You´re believes that this is - you´re is finally going to lose that fat once and for all!

And however there´s nothing wrong with big goals, what usually happens is that you start to feel overwhelmed - sometimes even intimidated - as time passes... and progress is slow.

Wonder why you´re punishing. You feel tempted to throw in the towel and change your shoes for a gallon of Ben & Jerry´s...

Stop there!

Yes, losing weight means making changes. Changes in their habits and changes in your lifestyle. But can´t expect to make these changes overnight.

Trying to change a habit of long term from one day to another can be a recipe for disaster. Yes, you may be able to get away from their favorite food for a few days, maybe a week or two, but in the end, the temptation might be too large.

Instead of trying to cut the (less-healthy) foods from your diet all at once, choose one... and replace it with something more healthy.

Do you like butter on his bread in the morning? Try to replace with a little added protein natural peanut butter. Replace white bread with an alternative low-fat and whole grains. Scope of some fruits instead of that bun it´s hour for your rest.

Start small. Make the change gradually. And as turn days into weeks and weeks to months, you´ll will be surprised how much closer are goals of weight loss with which you want to start.

Step #2: Bad snacks Swap forever...

We all have bad habits, but when it comes to wanting to lose weight, eat the wrong things can be one of the worst!

Ideally, you should leave behind in meals to do, but cutting it off completely often isn´t a choice - especially in the beginning.

What then do you do instead? Tamper with what might have been bad snack choices in the past for the snack becomes a healthy habit for the future.

For example, if you´re like me can feel the momentum (often overwhelming!) to have a snack in the afternoons. Instead of trying to force not to eat, test Exchange snacks bad replace well - delicious fruit yogurt for that chocolate pudding's high in calories or a handful of sweet grapes, juicy for fattening "cookies".

Remember, snack, Yes, doesn´t have the power to sabotage weight loss - it´s the decisions that determine their success at the end.

Step #3: Beat temptation flat

When it comes to food, even the most determined dieter may feel threatened by the temptation.

Have you had a piece of cake, seated at his kitchen table? And every time you walk by, swears that hear him speak your name? That´s temptation.

Or what about that unfinished bag of French fries in the closet? Ever find yourself thinking, there are only a few... would harm can eat do? Silly Don´t.

In fact, don´t have the temptation to battle - if you take steps early on that this beat just one-two punch:

First, get rid of those foods that you keep calling your name! If you can´t eat a little something and feel satisfied, make a point of not having it in the House at all.

And secondly, if you feel the urge to splurge, choose an activity that I enjoy and move! Dancing, walking your dog, take their children to the Park, challenge himself to a set of sit-ups or grab this large ironing basket that keeps putting off and get to work!

All these things will help you to focus your energy. Stop thinking about food. And move one step closer to finally achieve weight loss goals to yourself!

Since I became a personal trainer fitness my clients have been asking what to eat in a week. Well to be honest it varies and changes from one week to another. But to give you an idea, I thought that maybe should publish one of my weekly plans to test at least give you some good ideas.

Please note that my wife and I usually prepares much of the snacks and meals before hand, usually only after getting food which makes it much easier to manage our busy week. You will notice account make smoothies more tomorrow, as I wake up early and I go through the door so it is conveniently available in nutrition, but if you have more time or more time can do you suggest to do something food whole as a vegetarian omelet or oatmeal and clear egg or something.

The system which we normally use "double for dinner" so we can have it again for lunch the next day. For our food day actually starts the previous night.

This should give you an idea, but don't hesitate to make equally healthy alternatives to any food that you don't like. (So for example exchanging a vegetable a vegetable or a fruit for a fruit etc.).

Take the following daily supplement with breakfast

Vitamin D, Omega 3 fish oils, green supplement

So here is the meal plan

Day 1 Sunday dinner/Mon lunch -Montreal Spiced steak and blue cheese with baby dill potatoes and a salad of lettuce radish and carrots and celery in a dressing of olive oil and dill

Breakfast - banana, Chocolate, milk and Greek yogurt whey protein shake

Snacks 1 - Banana, Greek yogurt, honey, macadamia nuts

2 Snack - red and pepper green and jalapeno jack cheese cubes

3 Snack (Optional) - Hot Chocolate with cocoa and milk warm real Hershey

Day 2 Monday dinner/Tuesday Lunch - pepper mustard chicken with cooked pears and fresh avocado and a serving of broccoli and cauliflower & mushrooms (fungi are for my wife only, mushrooms are gross but mushroom soup is awesome but it is a discussion for another day)

Breakfast - avocado with bread slices toasted whole wheat (customer thank you Sarah for the idea) in a mixed or mixed berry Smoothie Berry oat

Snack 1-Apple and coconut

Afternoon snack 2 - Berry & spinach Smoothie

Day 3 Tuesday dinner/Wednesday lunch - lean ham and pineapple with sweet potato and asparagus skewers.

Breakfast - shake of pineapple & raspberries with buttermilk and the handful of Almond protein

Bites 1 snack - almond and sweet potato

2 - Snack Chunks of pineapple & Raspberry smoothie or pineapple and almonds (depends on how much is left)

Day 4 Wednesday dinner Saturday lunch - lemon garlic shrimp with rice salad spinach, beetroot and olive oil and lemon dressing juice.

Breakfast - green tea, honeydew with powder cocoa and nuts & a chocolate whey protein shake

1 Snack - bites of cucumber & beets and walnuts

2 Snack - cocoa powder and melon with Greek yogurt

3 Snack(Optional) - tea Chamomile and Pecans

Day 5Thursday dinner Friday lunch - bites of Cajun meat with peppers

Breakfast - Banana and chocolate beaten with milk and Greek yogurt whey protein

1 Snack - carrots and macadamia nuts

2 Snack - peppers carrots and cheese

3 Snack - hot cocoa with cocoa and Hershey real warm milk (cacao has antioxidant "good humor" and warm milk has properties "good sleep")

That's all. This is the meal plan for the week. What happens with the Friday and Saturday nights would you say? Simple, one of these nights is date night and we went out and other meals are spent eating what's left in the fridge, which is very healthy because our home is "safe" to eat it, we can do all sorts of things with our imagination and Google. Or if it's a "blah" day only we could have soup or one of our meals frozen stew or Chile go.

Notice how this meal plan started with beef and rotate protein sources every day. A healthy practice is to eat a variety of foods, and we found that rotate proteins each day is better in our systems and makes meal planning easy. So this week was beef, chicken, ham, seafood, beef meat. The week coming probably would do chicken, ham, seafood, beef, chicken.

On a side note that our food bill does not include non-food items or supplements to this meal plan can expect to pay $90 - $130 for two people depending on the product and the prices of meat and quality.

I hope this gives you some good ideas in your meal planning efforts.

Over the years I've tried to fight many ways to combat the loss of fat; some successful, others not. But like most of the time with things the best and learn what works best for your body.

Today I want to share with you 5 simple changes I did that you helped me increase my fat loss in the hope that will also work for you.

1 Have a good night sleep

So many women commit the number of hours of close your eyes that are put. Lack of sleep makes your hormones to turn in the wrong direction and negatively impact may their sensitivity to insulin. If you don't have sleep a good night of they will decrease your energy levels throughout the day and we will turn to food for a quick snack.

Dale; Skips to the TV at night, turn off the laptop and go to bed early!

2. Less stress

Everyone is stressed out lately, and that's because we are so 'crazy-busy'. Our lifestyles leave exhausted physically and mentally for coffee and other stimulants to help keep up to day with everything.

If you stressed easily, then you need to read this Book: Don't sweat the little things (and its all small) by Dr. Richard Carlson. The greatest lesson I got from this book is that "in my Inbox it will always be full", we will always have things on our to-do list (even when we die our list will not be empty!).

One of the best ways to deal with stress is through meditation; You can download an application for mediation to your smart phone and only takes 5 minutes a day to rest, relax and recuperate.

3. Clean your body of excess estrogen

Toxins are everywhere; in the air we breathe, the food we eat and use skin care products.

If you don't eat organic then are consuming an excess of hormones and antibiotics in beef and pesticides in fruits and vegetables (both attribute to excess estrogen).

Here are some tips on how to clean your body of excess estrogen:
Eating a diet of plant-heavy high fiber to keep your digestion running smoothly.Make sure that any meat and dairy products you buy are grass fed animals that have lived in a farm environment and without antibiotics or added hormones.Maintain healthy intestine with a good probiotic bacteria. Eat organic fruits and Vegetables.Consume more cruciferous broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, kale, cabbage and bok choy (organic of course!); they contain sulfur and produce I3C, which participates in the balance and the estrogen detoxification.Fish oils are greatOpt for organic coffee, where you can and drink green teaVitamin B
4 Reduce alcohol consumption

There was a time where I had a glass of wine every night until I learned that alcohol basically shut down your metabolism.

When the alcohol passes through the liver, instead of filtering out of your body, your liver is acetate and your body burns acetate before burning the fat. Rather than drinking alcohol, acetate over your body and more slowly will be the fat burning process.

Completely eliminate alcohol use and once you are at the point of maintaining your weight slowly can introduce a few alcoholic drinks each week (of course avoiding carb and sugar-filled drinks).

Also, be aware that the grapes used to make it came love are sprayed with pesticides that opted for organic wines. Organic wines are becoming more common in liquor shelves these days so keep a look out.

5. Stay positive

Fat loss can take a long time for many women; There will be days that you can look fantastic and where it is 'up' and want to throw in the towel.

It is important to keep a positive attitude and keep trying, because within a year you will want to have begun today. The only way to get results is to persist and continue with what you're doing. Keep your mind strong and positive.
