We spend lots of money, making sure that we look our best. For some of us, the color of your hair is one of those things that just have to achieve budgeted. If you need a pick me up, a new look or you need to cover some gray, color of the hair by a professional stylist can be expensive (well worth while!). To make your last color as often as possible, there are some tips and tricks can follow.

1. Do not shampoo: avoid washing the hair for at least 24 hours before visiting the salon. Natural oils from your scalp can actually make your hair color last longer.

2. Deep condition - a few days before visiting the salon for your new color, apply a deep conditioning treatment to your hair is in the best possible way forward to that new treatment of color.

3. Avoid chlorine - swimming is fun, especially when there is a burning sun, a barbecue and a nice warm pool. But the damage that chlorine can do to your hair, not to mention excessive exposure to the Sun, could make you think twice. Apart from the appearance of damage, will also make its color fade faster.

4. Regularly - condition after your hair color, make sure condition regularly as the color of the hair can dry out the hair. Healthy hair and keep longer color.

5. Avoid washing hair daily - I know, I know... most of us feel that we have to wash the hair every day, but it is not really necessary and can make your color fade faster. If you have oily hair and feel that you must shampoo, use a dry shampoo.

6. Use shampoo and conditioner for hair dyeing of color - there are special formulas of shampoo and conditioner that are specifically made to make your hair color last longer, and actually works! Ask your stylist which would be best for you.

7 Avoid alcohol - No, I'm not saying you can not drink - depends on you. But you want to avoid any products containing alcohol as one of the first five ingredients. Not only is this bad for the hair, but can cause color to fade more quickly. If you are already buying products from the salon, then you don't worry, but if it isn't, be sure to check the ingredients before you buy.

There is no replacement for the hair color professionally applied, but we can do our color last a bit longer with some care. Happy coloring!
