We are all guilty. When set aside the Sandals until next year and get out of that our cozy toasty socks for winter we often forget our poor feet under socks. It is curious how so few of us think about our feet until there is a complication and we don't walk that we discovered how important are your two feet.

You don't have to be so, although a couple of basic steps can easily keep your feet looking and you feel well throughout the year.

1. Keep your feet clean. If possible, wash your feet every time the night before going to sleep. This eliminates any unpleasant bacteria hidden between the toes. Don't forget to completely dry and moisturize with a cream for feet of good quality (not justbody lotion). If you do this at night attempt to put some cotton socks to avoid the cream do its sticky leaves.

2. Use shoes that fit. Sounds so easy I know but around 70% of the U.S. population is walking in the shoes of the wrong sizes. Take out your feet measured regularly, many factors including age, pregnancy, weight loss and increase of altering the size or our feet so that you do not forget to take this into account. Also when you are looking for shoes trying to do it in the afternoon as this is when our feet are the most swollen.

Finally, if it is pinched or damage at the store - not get them, no matter how are big, pinching and rubbing will only be worse.

3 Wear comfortable shoes! No, I do not mean the style of shoes that your grandmother used but shoes suitable for the purpose. In other words, there is no escalation of flip flops! Try not to live and die in the same style of shoe particularly flip-flop designs and stiletto heels.

So this type of shoe put tension in your feet, ankles, knees, hips even and as his center of balance, which can cause problems if you are continuously using a style change. Sport instructors can also cause fungal infections if you wear them all the time. So try to vary it and shoes appropriate to what you are doing. Ladies, is to vary the height of the heel also.

4. Keep it cool. Always use a clean pair of socks daily, and if you can, try not to use the same pair of shoes two days in a row. Always wear socks, regardless of what time, if not looks good with the style of shoe you are wearing socks can get the type of hidden sock liner carried out to not show off your shoe.

5. Remove calluses and corns regularly with a pumice stone.

6 To the rest of your body, toes have muscles and should keep fit. It goes without saying that you can not give your feet a workout in the gym, but it helps to walk. Try to go for regular walks, this will benefit not only the feet to your total body.

If your feet hurt after standing you may need some additional templates. Many retailers have devices that can measure this and advise appropriate brackets. Otherwise consult a Podiatrist - it is always better to prevent than cure.

7 Foot baths. If you want a treat, or more properly giving foot a delight having a foot bath. This softens the skin and to better effect to add some essential oils or Epsom Salt.

8 Cut the nails often, cuts in a straight line. Keep them clean also.

9 Protect the feet from extreme heat and cold. Do not place your feet on something exceptionally hot including pads or hot water bottles. Do not put in front of a home or any form of heating. If feet are cold in winter thermal insoles buy and wear socks to bed.

10. Keep the blood pumping. Maintain the flow of blood to your feet. The moment you have opportunity to put your feet up (see now you have an excuse). Also twisting the toes several minutes a day helps the blood reach the bottom of the toes.
